To help when you need to reschedule an event but have not confirmed a new date, we've introduced a new event status, "Rescheduled - New date TBC".
Picture this. You have multiple events taking place in the next eight weeks.
But, you turn on the tv and see news of yet another impending lockdown. It starts tomorrow.
You'll have to reschedule your events. But you don't know when lockdown will end? Your customer will want to know what's going on.
What to do?
Well, it just so happens, we've created a new event status for just this scenario, "Rescheduled - New date TBC" (well, not just for lockdowns. It's for any situation where you have to reschedule an event and don't have a new date confirmed).
As soon as you select this status, we'll email all your customers to keep them in the loop.
We'll also put a notice on your event page.
When you're able to confirm a new date, simply edit the date of the event in Fatsoma. When you do, we'll email all your customers to let them know the new date, and update we'll the event page for you as well.
This is part of a broader program of improvements around cancelling and rescheduling events. We're constantly monitoring these changes and will be rolling out more updates in the coming weeks.
