To help make your events more visible in Google and other search engines we've updated the URL structure for events and brand pages.
You've put effort into making your event page appealing, now your customers need to be able to find it on Google. That's where we come in.
There are over 200 ranking factors in Googles algorithm, and a well-structured URL is one of those. That means ensuring keywords (the words customers will put into Google) are as close to the root domain (www.fatsoma.com) as possible.
The new Fatsoma URL does this by removing the brand page and replacing it with the prefix /e/ for 'event'.
Old URL Structure:
www.fatsoma.com/page-name/event-id/event name
New URL structure:
www.fatsoma.com/e/event-id/event name
This is only a small change. But with SEO, there's no magic bullet. It is the combination of a lot of small changes that add up to make a big difference.
As with all the updates we make at Fatsoma, we'll closely monitor this update's success and make any necessary changes.

To help make life easier when you have to cancel an event, we now take tickets off sale when you change the event status to 'Cancelled - Event not going ahead'.
To help when you need to reschedule an event but have not confirmed a new date, we've introduced a new event status, "Rescheduled - New date TBC".
To help you decide whether to approve or deny refund requests we've added additional information to the refund request page.
